Ortakent: (30 mins from Bodrum airport). Ortakent (which means "Middle Town"), with its warm waters and its sandy beaches, as well as its tangerine orchards, is one of the best kept villages in the Bodrum peninsular. The beach is long and wide, with cooling breezes coming off the sea to provide relief from the summer heat and aid in getting a suntan. Lying in the centre of the Bodrum peninsula on the main Turgutreis-Bodrum road, Ortakent is ideally central base from which to explore the region. Bodrum centre is 13km, and Bodrum Airport is 50km.
