 Gumbet: (30 mins from Bodrum airport). Gumbet is known for its upbeat, young oriented atmosphere and excellent watersports. Set in the cup of a scenic bay, the 600 metre beach is buzzing with sunbathers and watersports, so you'll be in heaven if you want to mess about on a windsurf, sailboard, go snorkelling or take to water-skis and pedaloes. A walk along the waterfront also reveals a multitude of bustling shops, restaurants, bars and lokantas, however it should be noted that prices were considerably lower at nearby Bodrum. By night, the pace steps up, with countless disco bars and hip nightspots that will keep you partying and there's a casino at Cesar's. Bodrum lies just under 2 miles away, so all you need do is hop on a local dolmus.
